Maruti Suzuki has brought its new compact SUV the grand vitara. This is the second generation model of this car. This car are made by collaboration Toyota launched this car with some cosmetic changes, named as 'Toyota urban cruiser hyryder'. So this is a perfect combination of technology & reliability of Toyota and fuel efficiency & refinement of suzuki.

Maruti Suzuki offers 2 types of petrol engine in the grand vitara. One is 1462cc and the other is 1490 cc. Grand vitara is available in manual and automatic transmission but also depending upon the fuel type and the variant of the grand vitara. This car has a mileage of 19.38 to 27.97 kmpl, comes with 3 cylinder’s engine. In automatic transmission of 1490cc engine this car has maximum 91.18 bhp at 5500rpm and has a maximum torque of 122nm at 4400-4800rpm.

● hybrid technology
This new intelligent e-hybrid system in the grand vitara we can travel 1931 Km. in a single fuel tank by giving the estimated average of 27.97Kmpl, as stated by Maruti Suzuki. Maruti Suzuki have recently unveiled the all new grand vitara. In this car we get 2 types of engine, a four cylinder petrol engine with not very bad hybrid technology and a three cylinder petrol engine with a powerful hybrid technology. These two engine are similar to the engines we get in the Toyota
hyryder. This car also have eco, power and normal drive modes.
A 1.5L engine is connected with an electric motor witch gets power from a lithium ion battery and this is how the intelligent hybrid system works. While the start-up the car gets power only from the electric motor. Also while driving at a constant speed the carruns on the electric motor that gets powerfrom the battery, this smart system is known as the e-hybrid mode. The grand vitara also have an EV mode, in this mode the car runs only on
the electric motor simultaneously powered by the battery. To get the necessary torque and power, while acceleration the petrol engine and the electric motor work together at a time.
